BGEN is an established market leader in control system integration. We pride ourselves in developing our people and nurturing talent is at the heart of what we do. We are currently seeking to recruit Senior Engineers, to join our on a permanent basis.
Working as part of a successful team, duties include but are not limited to;
Development of PLC and/or SCADA system design and options from customer requirements
Involvement throughout whole software/systems lifecycle, from design through coding to testing, installation and commissioning, and documentation (working throughout to full QA procedures) specifically production of design specifications and Test Specifications
Working within project team to customer deadlines
Essential Requirements:
Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer related qualification (HNC/HND/degree) with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
At least 3 years Water industry system integration experience
At least 3 years’ experience in configuring Rockwell and/or Mitsubishi PLC/HMI products
Good client facing skills, must be able to work as part of combined client/contractor team
Experience of producing design documentation and Test Specifications
Site testing / commissioning experience
Willingness to travel and work away when required
Driving licence
Desirable Requirements/experience:
Rockwell FactoryTalk SCADA configuration experience
Industrial Networks knowledge
Understanding of pumping systems / pump curves and/or energy optimisation
Personal Qualities:
Confident and capable to work accurately under own initiative and within a team environment
Ability to learn quickly, understand client requirements and translate these into an effective solution.
Deliver tasks to clients requirements within budgeted time allowed
Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
Have good communication skills
Willingness to own workstreams
Be flexible in working methods
