BGEN Secures MCC Replacement Project with Long-Standing Client

BGEN has been awarded the electrical installation package for a Motor Control Centre (MCC) replacement project by a long-established client in East Central England. This award reinforces BGEN’s expertise in delivering critical electrical infrastructure upgrades within live operational process environments.

The project involves the full replacement of the existing MCC, to be supplied by the client’s approved vendor. BGEN will deliver a comprehensive turnkey electrical installation, including new cable containment systems with associated support bracketry, Variable Speed Drive (VSD) inverters, stop/start push-button stations, MCCB panelboards, and the full replacement of existing power, control, earthing, and Profibus cabling systems.

Due to the client’s operational requirements, all primary works must be completed within a tightly controlled shutdown period. As a result, all preparatory activities will be meticulously planned and executed in advance to ensure successful delivery within the target programme and handover date.

Following completion of the main installation works, BGEN will undertake further upgrades, including the installation of energy-efficient LED lighting to enhance both illumination and control. The team will also carry out the safe and controlled removal of redundant equipment, including the existing MCC, distribution boards, lighting, HVAC units, and legacy cabling. All waste materials will be managed in accordance with the client’s approved waste management streams.

To support commissioning and long-term asset assurance, BGEN will provide updated CAD documentation, core sheets, comprehensive testing records, and full electrical inspection and testing in line with BS 7671 standards.

The project will be delivered with full transparency of labour and material costs, supporting a collaborative approach to phased delivery across 2025–2026. All works will be executed in accordance with BGEN’s ISO-certified quality, environmental, and safety management systems.
