Supporting Mental Health Through Connection, Conversation and Support
We're seeing the benefits of being part of M Group, particularly when it comes to supporting the wellbeing of our people.
As part of Suicide Prevention Month, colleagues and contractors on our 3CR project recently came together for a Mental Health Morning, creating a welcoming space for open conversations and raising awareness of the support available across our business.
Organised by Natalie Branigan and supported by our Mental Health First Aiders, the event provided an opportunity for people to connect, access information and learn more about the wellbeing resources available to them. With refreshments available throughout the morning, attendees were encouraged to take time out of their day, speak with colleagues and find out more about the support on offer.
While the event focused on raising awareness, it also highlighted the wider commitment we have to supporting mental health and wellbeing across our teams.
Through M Group, we can offer access to a broader range of wellbeing resources and support networks, helping ensure that colleagues have access to guidance and support whenever they need it. This includes Mental Health First Aiders, our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), wellbeing resources, colleague support networks and a range of initiatives designed to support physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
By combining the strengths of a larger organisation with the close-knit culture that exists across our teams, we're able to provide meaningful support while continuing to foster an environment where people feel valued, respected and comfortable asking for help.
Mental health affects us all, and creating opportunities for open and honest conversations is an important part of breaking down stigma. Events such as the Mental Health Morning help remind people that support is available and that nobody has to face challenges alone.
A special thank you goes to Natalie Branigan, our Mental Health First Aiders and everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success.
Together, we can continue to create a workplace where people feel supported, connected and empowered to prioritise their wellbeing. Because sometimes, a simple conversation can make all the difference.
