BGEN Secures Energy Recovery Project with a leading specialist in chemicals and high-performance carbon materials.
BGEN, part of M Group, is proud to announce its appointment to deliver the mechanical scope for Clients Energy Recovery Project at their Northwest facility. This project is a key step toward improving energy efficiency and sustainability within client’s operations.
The Energy Recovery system, originally installed in 2019, will undergo a full design revalidation and upgrade to overcome previous technical challenges and deliver on its promise of steam savings and ROI. BGEN’s scope includes pipework supply and installation, along with critical modifications designed to eliminate process issues identified during plant trials.
On this project, BGEN will manage the complete mechanical delivery, including the supply, fabrication, installation, and testing of all pipework in accordance with PS111 piping standards. We will complete all destruct and installation activities across multiple tie-in points, supported by off-site fabrication and a dedicated site management team.
Our responsibilities also include producing ISO sketches for fabrication and installation, determining piping routes, and identifying pipe support requirements. To ensure quality and compliance, BGEN will provide a full QA data pack, conduct NDT/NDE testing of welds, and deliver painting of fabricated spools to MP3 specification.
The works will be executed within a focused 4–5 week on-site schedule, with all activities carried out under CDM regulations and NAECI agreements, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
