National Apprenticeship Week: ‘It takes a village’ when you’re trying to build the future.’

Pictured: On-site apprentices Sean Millington and Jordan Lockett, who are completing their Electrical Installation Apprenticeships.

As well as being supported by Nick Woollacott (Labour Manager) and their JTL Training Officer, Electrical Supervisors Graham Lee and Richie Batho also act as mentors on site.

Both Graham and Richie are well placed to support the next generation of apprentices, having gone through the same experience. They understand that this training stays with you for a lifetime, and so take a personal interest in matching the dedication of young apprentices and enhancing their experience.

This ‘Term Contract’ site is the perfect environment for apprentices to learn about all aspects of a project, such as health and safety, quality, and technical engineering as well as access to a wide range of knowledge and expertise from colleagues.

Sean told us he believes the Electrical Apprenticeship is just the start of his journey and that there are many career opportunities for him to consider. He is building the foundations of a solid career which will stand him in good stead for the future, and perhaps one day we will see him mentoring other apprentices!
