As a leading engineering firm driving the energy transition in the UK, we are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Panel Wirer to join our Technology team based in Penketh, Warrington.Our team design, build and manufacture Motor Control Center (MCC) and control panels for clients across a wide range of industries.
About the role
As an Apprentice Panel Wirer at BGEN you will gain practical on the job experience working alongside experienced members of the team while studying towards a recognised industry accredited qualification.Some of the tasks you will carry out include:
- Learning about electrical materials, products and components
- Assembling various electrical components
- Mounting electrical components onto metal bases plates and doors, using drilling machines, tapping machines etc.
- Understanding testing procedures
- Learning to read and understand technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Communicating with other members of the team
- Following Health & Safety regulations on site
- Using a variety of hand and power tools
- Attending college/training sessions which form part of your apprenticeship
What We're Looking For:
- A passion for Engineering, and desire to be a part of our industry
- Reliability and excellent timekeeping
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- A 'can do' attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team and be self-motivated
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English Grade 4 and above
