Our mechanical engineering and design team combine innovative thinking and engineering expertise to create cutting-edge mechanical design solutions for plant, equipment and pipework.

We focus on operability, ongoing maintenance and the practicalities of plant construction. Our objective is always to deliver the most cost-effective, innovative and safe design solutions while also identifying and mitigating any potential risks at an early stage. This way, we can ensure that your design is right first time.

Our in-house design engineers will work closely with you (and your end-user, where applicable) from the very start of the project, to ensure that every element of the facility is optimally designed and integrated, so it can fulfil its requirements over its operating lifetime. As part of this we use the very latest tools and techniques, including 3D modelling.

Piping and instrumentation diagrams

BGEN’s experienced designers can produce detailed piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) featuring a very high level of detail. This information then feeds into the production of a 3D model, from which detailed construction fabrication isometrics are produced.

Piping system flexibility analysis

Our engineers can offer both static and dynamic flexibility analysis of piping systems to recognised code standards. This flexibility analysis can be completed to codes and standards such as ASME 31.1, ASME 31.3 and BS EN 13480.

Mechanical design software

We offer a full 2D and 3D drawings production service, using Autodesk Plant 3D as well as Intergraph CadWorx®. Our experienced team is always available for any specialist services such as specification and design of high-pressure pipework (ASME & PED), stress analysis, modular skid design and structural frame design.
