Purpose

The Engineer shall take a role in Process Control Projects sometimes coordinating the efforts of a small project team

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of functional design specifications, configuration of PLC and SCADA packages, factory testing, site testing and site based commissioning. 
  • To inform the Group Manager of potential project opportunities
  • To ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Project

To lead small Process Control Projects

To monitor/plan projects to ensure they are completed to time and budget

To report on progress to Process Control Group Manager, highlight concerns

Technical

To ensure Engineering and Design activities meets all national and international standards, clients requirements and 'best' engineering practice

To contribute to maintenance of Technology/Process Control quality manual

To ensure adherence to Technology/Process Control quality manual

To introduce latest developments/practices where appropriate

Special Features

To provide assistance to Process Control Group Manager for estimating assistance

To assist sales function, visit clients, develop client relations

To conduct client satisfaction surveys as required

The Job Holder shall have a willingness to undertake an annual performance 1 to 1 review, to attend and have an active participation in all internal and external training courses

Some work and travel at various client jobsites

Qualifications

Degree or similar in Software/Engineer related discipline
